DEM Data Quality Detecting Based on Spatial Index
|
Abstract:
To obtain data for generating Digital Elevation Model (DEM), one of the most important methods is to digitize physiognomic information such as contours on maps and get scattered points and contours which computer can recognize. This method requires high quality scattered points and contours. In this paper, two spatial index methods, GRID and R-tree, are introduced to detect the duplication of scattered points and the intersection of contours. The experiment shows that these two index methods greatly improve the efficiency of spatial data quality detecting.
