Digital Audio Data Hiding Scheme Using Perceptual Masking

Abstract:
A novel digital audio data hiding scheme using perceptual masking is presented.The scheme takes advantage of masking threshold of the psychoacoustic model of the host audio signal in order to mask the hiding message modulated by the pseudo-random sequence in the frequency domain and then embed the modulated hiding message to the host audio signal.It fully utilizes the perceptual masking effect of HAS(Human Audio System) and the fine correlation characteristic of the pseudo-random sequence which leads to the blind extraction without the host audio signal.Experiment results show that the embedded audio signal is not easily detected and the bit error of the extracted message is small.
