In-network Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor Network

Abstract:
A primary goal in the design of wireless sensor networks is lifetime maximization, constrained by the energy capacity of batteries. One effective method to reduce energy consumption in such networks is in-network data aggregation. This paper expatiates the concept of in-network data aggregation and two aggregation levels based on the characteristics of the wireless sensor network firstly. Then shows several data dissemination schemes related to the in-network data aggregation, and analyzeit how maximum delay T for data delivery affect the result of the in-network data aggregation when it is allocated to each aggregation node.
