The standard multimodal development framework for handheld device could be used to develop application or add multimodal interaction to any application rapidly. With this framework, the paper designed and implemented a multimodal wireless switch system, which supported pen and speech input. Explained the key points and it was hoped to be helpful for multimodal interaction development in the handheld devices field.
