Performance of MPLS-based Hierarchical Micromobility Protocol
|
Abstract:
Mobile MPLS is a mechanism that can support mobility in the MPLS network. For the mechanism, data packets forwarding are based on LSP through label switch instead of the conventional IP route. Therefore, the integration of MPLS and MIP can improve the speed of IP data process greatly. Through simulation the end to end delay for data packets from CN to MH, handoff delay and loss rate during handoff period, and data utilization between hierarchical micro-mobile MPLS protocol and hierarchical micro-mobile IP are demonstrated.
