Study on Groundwater Data Sharing Based on Metadata

Abstract:
Groundwater data sharing platform is a distributed system faced the Internet.Adopting the strategy of centralized management of metadata and dispersive storage of data-body,the platform can share distributed and different format groundwater data.Based on the RDF/XML framework,groundwater metadata are established which can exchange with other metadata standards.Furthermore,groundwater metadata can be expanded easily to satisfy application need.Taking metadata as the core,the platform is designed whose functions include submitting data,querying data,browsing data and downloading data and etc.Under J2EE environment,the platform is developed.Specially,the spatial data service is accomplished by combining the spatial metadata with ArcIMS services.
