ECN-Based TCP-friendly Control for Real-time Multimedia Streaming

With the increasing of Multimedia applications over Internet,TCP-friendly congestion control scheme for multimedia streaming becomes a hot spot.This mechanism based on RTP/RTCP protocol.Congestion stated is notified to the sender using ECN.RED queue management is used in the router.TCP-friendly rate adjustment algorithm is adopted in the end host.ECNBCC is TCP-friendly and can respond to early congestion of network to reduce the packet loss rate and delay.This mechanism can also be applied to congestion control of wireless multimedia streaming.
