Survey on Explicit Congestion Notification Algorithms in IP Network

Explicit Congestion Notification ( ECN) mechanism means improving the good output by marking packets in the active queue management technique. ECN is important in the congestion control of the network. It can enhance the efficiency and robustness of congestion control. The survey on ECN algorithm lies in the fairness and efficiency mainly. Intriduces and analyzes the basic ECN algorithm and the typical improved algorithms and proposes the study direction in the future.
