Research on Relational Model-based Grid Monitoring System Example

The grid has been developed greatly since it was proposed in 1990s, which is called the third revolution of the Internet.The grid resource monitoring is one of the critical problems of the grid, and has become an important research direction.This paper analyses the requirements of the grid monitoring and the lacks of the monitoring system that is based on a hierchical data model.Then it gives a detailed presentation and analysis of the key techniques of the R-GMA, which is based on a relational data model,and points out the research directions of the R-GMA and grid monitoring.
