Research of Software Component for Open Embedded Automotive Application

Software for embedded system is hard to maintain, update and customize. However, Component-based software engineering would bring a number of advantages to the embedded applications. The characteristics and mechanism of embedded software component are analyzed in detail. The embedded software component based on OSEK standard for automotive and its development tools are presented and discussed.
