MOTION CHARACTERISTICS OF INJECTED POWDER INSIDE POROUS BRICK PLACED AT THE BOTTOM OF REFINING LADLE

Abstract:
During powder injection in the bottom-blown ladle, the forces acting on particle were analyzed considering the interaction between gas and particle. The motion equation of particles was established in a vertical flow, and the relationship between the velocity of particles, moving distance and time was deduced, which shows that the velocity of small particles increases slowly after acceleration in short time or distance. According to the relational expressions, some parameters for structure design of slot plug and powder injection technics can be established.
