ON TITANIUM NITRIDE INCLUSIONS IN Ti-STABILIZED STAINLESS STEEL
|
Abstract:
TiN inclusions are the major inclusions in Ti-stabilized stainless steels. The content and distribution of them closely depend on the casting process. TiN is a kind of buoyant inclusions and can grow up gradually in molten steel during float- ing up. The sequence of the formation of inclusions in the steel is: oxides, nitrides and sulfides
