Impact of temperature on treatment effect of circular plug-flow reactor
|
Abstract:
The removal effects of pollutants in summer (high temperature) and winter (low temperature) of the circular plug-flow reactor using the campus sewage as the raw water were studied. The experimental results demonstrate that comparing with the results in summer, the removal rate of COD,TN,NH3-N and TP in the system decreased by 1.39%,7.40%,4.91% and 4.78%,respectively in winter.Meanwhile, with the temperature decreasing, the average value of dehydrogenase activity (DHA) of activated sludge also declined.Comparing with the value in high temperature, the average value of DHA in aerobic, anaerobic and anoxic zones of the reactor at low temperatures decreased by 62%,82% and 73%,respectively.The obvious correlation can be seen between the removal efficiency of pollutants with the circular plug-flow reactor and DHA of activated sludge.
