Modeling of pressure drop distribution in circulating fluidized bed scrubber
|
Abstract:
Pressure drop is the key operating variable to maintain the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) scrubber running safely. It is important to estimate the flow behavior in the CFB scrubber and regulate the pressure drop in the range of set value. By analyzing the contact regime in the scrubber, one-dimensional axial flow model was established based on material conservation and experimental correlations. Simulation studies were performed to investigate the steady state and dynamic behaviors of the CFB scrubber, and the simulation results indicated that the performance of the proposed model was satisfactory and the model could subsequently be used in studies of control and optimization design of the CFB scrubber.
