Influencing factors on metabolism process of mixed sulfate-reducing bacteria
|
Abstract:
The effects of several factors on reduction of sulfate by SRB and its velocity were investigated, including initial pH,Fe2+,COD/SO2-4 and NO-3/SO2-4 ratio. The results showed that 84.66% of sulfate could be removed at the velocity of 15.07 mg/(L·h) under neutral condition(pH=7).And the reaction system performed a relatively good capacity of buffering in the initial pH range of 4~9.Sulfate removal efficiency could reach up to 85.33% at the velocity of 8.16 mg/(L·h) and COD/SO2-4 ratio of 3 after 209 h,the system being gradually neutralized with the proceeding of the reaction. The efficiency of removing sulfate was enhanced in the presence of Fe2+with the concentration of 0~200 mg/L,while the existence of NO-3 apparently adversely affected the system.
