A model for heat and mass transfer in medical waste sterilization

Heat and mass transfer are very important in steam sterilization for medical waste treatment.This process was studied using a single piece of medical waste material by considering it as porous media.A theoretical model of heat and mass transfer about steam sterilization of medical waste was established and its analytic result was obtained.The experimental results indicated that the model proposed in this paper is suitable for this process.
