Application and analysis of active ingredient of microbial flocculant XM09
|
Abstract:
Aspergillus sojae M09 as high-yield strain was isolated from activated sludge. Study of the flocculating characteristics and effect of treating the actual wastewater of the bioflocculant produced by strain M09 was carried out. Results showed that the flocculant XM09 was a metabolite secreted in the extracellular by strain M09, and it was a polysaccharide rich in hydroxyl and carboxyl functional groups. Taking starch wastewater as a testing wastewater, SAS software was employed to do response surface analysis of factors influencing flocculating activity, and to acquire a regression model with good simulation. Then, the optimal scheme of flocculating condition obtained by SAS software were MBF dosage of 1.65 mL, pH 6, and the top speed of stirring of 325 r/min. And the flocculating rate was 89.57% under this condition. The paper indicated that the bioflocculant has a good flocculating performance in treating starch wastewater, and a huge potential for application of actual wastewater treatment.
