Optimization of electrochemistry for treatment of mustard wastewater by response surface methodology
|
Abstract:
Against high salinity in mustard wastewater inhibited microbial and processing performance instability, electrochemical was utilized to treat high-salt mustard wastewater.Response surface methodology(RSM) was used to investigate the effect of current density, electrode spacing, and pH values on COD removal.Data were analyzed by the software of Design-Expert 7.1,a quadratic response surface model and optimum level values in terms of actual factors was obtained based on the experimental data. The result showed that the optimum conditions of current density, electrode spacing, and pH values were 12.37 A/dm2,18.82 mm,5.92,respectively,at this time, the removal rate of COD was 83.21%(forecast value was 83.25%).Quadratic response surface analysis of variance results showed that regression model reached significant level, fitted well in the study area, model precision, reliability and accuracy were in the extent practicable, having higher coincide degree with the experimental results.
