Multi-model dynamic matrix control for dynamic wastewater treatment process
|
Abstract:
To address the strong coupling effect and dynamic change in wastewater treatment process using activated sludge method (ASM), a multi-model DMC decoupling-control method is proposed for the pre-denitrification process. The ammonia nitrogen concentration of inflow is clustered first using K-means method, so as to obtain the static model database which takes the centrums as the ammonia nitrogen concentration. The linear DMC decoupling-control controllers are then designed with respect to the different models. Switching index function is further designed based on the current ammonia nitrogen concentration and centrum, so as to achieve multi-model switching. The proposed method is applied to wastewater treatment process using Activated Sludge Model 1 (ASM1) and satisfactory performance in dynamic simulation is obtained.
