Synthesis of novel modified polyacrylamide and its effect on dewatering performance of sludge
|
Abstract:
A novel modified polyacrylamide was synthesized through in-situ polymerization of acrylamide during which the metal irons was added into the reaction system. The optimum synthesis conditions were determined by orthogonal experiment. The infrared spectra show that the modified polyacrylamide is a high molecular polymer with special structure. The dewatering rate of sludge and specific resistance of sludge were employed to investigate the effect of modified polyacrylamide on dewatering performance of sludge. The results show that soil moisture can be reduced from 94.3% to 80.1% and specific resistance of sludge can be reduced from 1.24×1013m/kg to 1.05×1011m/kg when 2.6 kg modified polyacrylamide was added into the 1 000 kg dried sludge.
