Simulation study on effect of flue gas and dust characteristics on collection efficiency of electrostatic precipitation

Abstract:
The simulation of flue gas and dust particles in the airflow in an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is presented by the Euler-Lagrange multiphase flow model in this paper. The effects of flue gas characteristics and dust properties on collection efficiency of ESP are investigated.The simulation of the flue gas and dust particles will reflect the ESP airflow distribution to more closely represent reality. The simulation method of flue gas and dust characteristics provides a new approach for analysis of the collection efficiency of an ESP.
