Identification of dominant anaerobic bacteria capable of denitrification and phosphorus removal using molecular biological technique
|
Abstract:
The samples of the anaerobic bacteria capable of the denitrification and phosphorus removal, which were acclimated by the A/O wastewater treatment process, were identified using the molecular clone library technology. The results of the clone libraries demonstrated that Azospirillum and Selenomonas were dominant in the anaerobic bacteria. Our experimental results further showed that Rhodospirillaceae and Acidaminococcaceae may play an important role in the nitrogen and phosphorus removal under the anaerobic condition.
