Research on spattering trickling filter for treatment of rural domestic wastewater
|
Abstract:
An underground integrated wastewater treatment system with low energy consumption, which was called spattering trickling filter(STF), was researched and developed. Aerobic treatment with great energy conservation was achieved through combined aeration technologies with spattering trickling filter. Removal effects under different hydraulic loadings and volumetric loadings of COD and NH+4-N were analyzed. The results showed that good effluent quality and high removal efficiencies could be obtained on the condition that hydraulic loading of 10 m3/(m2·d), COD volumetric loadings of 0.3 kg/(m3·d) and NH+4-N volumetric loadings of 0.08 kg/(m3·d), respectively. The effluent average concentrations of COD, NH+4-N and TN were 58.94 mg/L, 2.78 mg/L and 8.23 mg/L, and their average removal rates were 51.7%, 86.4% and 70.6%, respectively.
