Effects of preparation methods on Pd catalysts derived from MgAl hydrotalcite precursors for total oxidation of propane
|
Abstract:
Pd catalysts derived from MgAl hydrotalcite precursors were prepared by three different methods: deposition-precipitation (DP), impregnation (IM), and co-precipitation (CP), which were characterized by ICP, XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, TPR and surface area measurement. The ICP and XRD data shows that the Pd catalysts derived from hydrotalcite precursors could be successfully prepared with all of the three catalysts. The SEM, TEM and EDS profiles suggested that the samples made with different methods had various topology and palladium dispersions. It could be known from the above characterizations that the active sites exposed on the catalysts were a main aspect in influencing the catalytic activities.
