Pilot study on SBR process with optimized control for swine wastewater treatment
|
Abstract:
The pilot-scale sequencing batch reactor(SBR) with optimized real-time control system was developed to study its treatment of swine wastewater.Considering the remarkable variation of influent quality, flexible addition of external carbon source was adjusted according to the "nitrate knee" on oxidation-reduction potential(ORP) real-time curve, and economic aeration was achieved according to the "ammonia valley" on pH real-time curve. As a result of this automatic control strategy, the removal ratios of ammonia and COD in ten months’ operation were kept as 97% and 95%,respectively.
