Numerical simulating for inhalable particle congregation/separation in micro tunnel flow layered acoustic standing wave
|
Abstract:
The micro tunnel flow with three outlets was simulated by SIMPLE method and the inhalable particle congregation/separation process was predicted by the particle motion equation by adding acoustic radiation force. It is the first time that the total derivative was used to discrete the motion equations of particle and the discrete equations was solved numerically to simulate the particle motion trajectories. The simulation results showed that the acoustic transducer length and outlet flux were the main influencing factors. The simulation results were worth to optimization design of the inhalable particle congregation/separation device.
