Removal of stormwater runoff pollutants by medium soil infiltration system
|
Abstract:
Artificial water was made according to actual runoff pollutants in Kunming City. A soil column infiltration system was made using the local soil, to remove the stormwater pollutants in the removal study. The removal efficiencies of COD, TN, NH4+, NO3-, NO2-and TP were investigated by the system. The results showed that the average removal rate of COD was about 82.04%, and TN was about 22.64%, and NH4+ was about 94.26%, but less effective for removing NO3- and NO2-, and TP was about 96.95%. In addition, the long-term operation of the system reduced the infiltration speed. Instead, outflow effects of stormwater were changed better.
