Oil vapor adsorbents and their modification technology

The performance of adsorbents plays a decisive role in the adsorption separation effect of recovering oil vapor from the vapor-air mixtures. Activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, hydrophobic silica-gel, and hydrophobic zeolite were introduced to act as the adsorbents, and their adsorption properties and modification methods were analyzed and summarized. Last, some key items, such as the perfect modification technology of the adsorbents, the application of composite adsorbents, the development of the adsorbent vessel, and the adsorbing-desorbed technology of the new adsorbent to the vapor, were brought forward and should be put emphasis on the further research.
