Experimental study on electrochemical disinfection of secondary effluent
二沉池出水的电化学消毒试验研究

The electrochemical (EC) disinfection of the secondary effluent from Wiesbaden wastewater treatment plant (Germany) and the Water Purification Plant of Shanghai Petrochemical Corporation was studied separately. The results showed that electrochemical treatment was feasible to disinfect the secondary effluent in both cases. This low power consuming disinfection technique proved out for the wastewater in laboratory tests, the disinfection rate increased as the current and processing time increased.
