Study on preparation of starch-coated Fe3O4 and its phosphate removal properties

Starch-coated and bare Fe3O4 were prepared by the oxidation deposition method,and the difference of particle size,surface character,and adsorption capability between these two types of Fe3O4 was further studied.Results showed that particle size of Fe3O4 decreased from 60 nm to 10 nm after modified by soluble starch.FTIR spectroscopy and Zeta potential analysis indicated that there was chemical bonding between soluble starch and Fe3O4.The adsorbed amounts of phosphate decreased with the increase of pH for bo...
