Simulation of rapping acceleration distribution principle on a positive plate for the design of an electrostatic precipitator
|
Abstract:
Factors including the mass of the hammer head, the length of the hammer arm, the plate supports and the plate thickness which all influence the ESP acceleration of a positive plate are simulated using LS-DYNA. The effects of different influencing factors on the rapping acceleration of the positive plate are investigated. The calculated rapping acceleration distribution on the positive plate is shown to be in good agreement with measured date. Therefore, based on the simulation results, the rapping device can be improved to meet the needs of industrial dust pollution control. The proposed simulation method provides a new approach for the parameter design of a rapping device.
