Research on preparation of forsterite glass-ceramics with fly-ash as raw material
|
Abstract:
To enrich the outlook of glass-ceramics and improve its competitive power, an ingredients schedule with fly-ash solid residue as main raw materials, which contained fluorine after some valuable materials were obtained, was put forward based on theoretic analysis, making use of the characteristics of silicofluoride as crystal nucleating agents. Crystallization was conducted under even-temperature system and the process was observed with SEM; main crystallization phase was determined by XRD to examine whether it was the scheduled one-forsterite. It indicated that large amount of forsterite was gained in the microcrystal product, and the melting temperature of the base glass was greatly lowered; the ingredients schedule was successful.
