Influence of several reagents on photocatalytic decolorization of methyl orange with NO-3
|
Abstract:
The NO-3 was used to decolorize the methyl orange (MO) solution with ultraviolet radiation. Influence of several reagents on photocatalytic decolorization of methyl orange with NO-3 was investigated. The results indicate that t-BuOH, ethanol and methanol can press the decolorization reaction, KBr and Na2SO4 can promote the decolorization reaction, there is an optimal amount of KBr in this case and the effects of Na2SO4 increase with the concentrations, while Na2CO3 has no obvious influence on the decolorization reaction. The synergy between K2S2O8 and NO-3 is very strong. There is no synergy between KIO3 and NO-3, while there is inhibitation between KBrO3 and NO-3.
