Removal of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases
|
Abstract:
This paper deals with removal of nitrogen oxides from exhaust gases. Integrated technique of alkaline solutions absorption with active carbon absorption was studied in packed column. The results showed that when the inlet concentration of nitrogen oxides was 7000 - 10 000 mg/m^3 , the removal rate of NOx reached to 99% , the outlet concentration of nitrogen oxides was under 99 mg/m^3. In addition, taking HNO3, H2O2 and KM- nO4 as oxidants, the method of oxidation-alkaline solutions absorption were investigated. The results showed that the removal rate of NOx increased remarkably by using oxidants, and KMnO4 was the best of the three oxidants, H2O2 was next to KMnO4.
