Treatment of dye intermediate wastewater by Fenton oxidation and biochemical processes
|
Abstract:
According to the characteristics of dye intermediate wastewater, such as high COD concentration, low BOD5/COD,and biological toxicity, experiments on the treatment of dye intermediate wastewater were conducted by Fenton oxidation, hydrolytic acidification and aerobic combined processes.Experimental results show that the ratio of BOD5/COD goes up from 0.03 to 0.48 in wastewater treated by the procedure of Fenton oxidation and hydrolytic acidification and COD and BOD5 values in the effluent after aerobic treatment are 122.6 mg/L and 54.6 mg/L,respectively,the water quality satisfies the standard of grade 2 in Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard(GB8978-1996).The COD removal rate reaches to 94% by the combined processes.
