Study of denitrification in buffer zones of lakeshore
|
Abstract:
The denitrification is an important channel to attenuate nitrate in lakeshore buffer zones. Since the lakeshore buffer zones link upland and aquatic ecosystems, they not only provide critical habitats for many plants and animals, but also remove nitrate from groundwater through denitrification, then have a major influence on water quality in lake system. Firstly, the paper introduces methods if denitrification determination, as well as its advantages and disadvantages. Secondly, it expound many factors that influence on denitrification, such as anaerobic conditions, organic carbon, lakeshore slope, buffer slope, pH, temperature, nitrate concentration, and so on. Thirdly, it summarizes numeral model of denitrification rate. In the end, it recommends the deficient and advance in the domestic and foreign denitrification research.
