Removal of heavy metals from electroplating wastewater by second generation bacteria of BM
|
Abstract:
The potential of BM second generation bacteria for heavy metals removal from both simulated and electroplating wastewater was assessed. The optimum removal conditions were studied. The results showed that under the following conditions : temperature of 10 ~(6+) 30℃, pH = 2, Cr~(6+) concentration 100 mg/L, reacting 10 mi-nutes and BM bacteria to wastewater being 1: 200 , Cr~(6+) removal rate was over 98% . At the temperature of 10 ~(6+) 30℃ , pH = 8.5, Ni~(2+) concentration 100 mg/L, reacting 10 minutes and BM bacteria to wastewater being 1: 200, Ni~(2+) removal rate was over 96% . Under the same conditions of actual electroplating wastewater, Cr~(6+) and Ni~(2+) removal rate was both over 99%.
