Biosorption of Zn(Ⅱ)by pretreated activated sludge

Abstract:
In this study,pretreated activated sludge was chosen as biosorbent for Zn2 .8 different pretreatment means were compared and the best one was applied.In the kinetics study,the pseudo-second order model could represent the biosorption process better than pseudo-first order model did.In the isotherm study,the experiment data can be evaluated well by Freundlich model.The effects of pH,temperature and pretreated sludge concentration on the biosorption were investigated and analyzed.At last,the biosorption mechanism was explored by FTIR analysis.
