Study on flue gas biodesulfurization in an airlift reactor
|
Abstract:
According to the properties of the flue gas desulfurization by acid aqueous solution with iron ion and Thiobacillus ferrooxidans (T.f), an airlift reactor of internal circulation was constructed. Experimental investigations were carried out on the removal of simulated flue gas SO2 using acid iron ion aqueous solution which contains logarithmic phase T.f in the reactor. For seeking the optimal desulfurization efficiency, the effects of the concentration of iron ion, the content of intake O2, the cell counts and the pH value were investigated. In addition, the change rule of ferrous ion in the reaction solution was explored. The experimental results showed that desulfurization efficiency was superior by acid iron ion aqueous solution which contains T.f. The optimal desulfurization efficiency was about 7.67 g/L iron ion. The desulfurization efficiency of the reaction solution increase with the content of intake O2 or the cell count and the value of pH. The change of ferrous ion concentration is a course which first is up and then is down.
