Study on oil removal from oilfield wastewater using activated semicoke

Abstract:
The cheap semicoke was chosen as the raw material to prepare sorbents of oil removal from oilfield wastewater.Different modification methods to raw semicoke were performed as followed: calcination in N2 atmosphere,steam activation,high-pressure hydrothermal chemical activation,HNO3 and KOH activation.The activation effect was evaluated by determination of the oil removal rate and by means of static adsorption experiment.The effects of conditions of potassium hydroxide activation on the oil removal rate were...
