Study on influences of impurities in limestone on its desulfurization reactivity
|
Abstract:
The reactivity of limestone is very important to the wet flue gas desulfurization process. The influences of impurities in limestone on its reactivity have been studied by using sulfuric acid titration method. The testing results showed that the contents of silicon dioxide and ferric oxide would improve the limestone reactivity in a certain range. Moreover, the existence of magnesia would significantly enhance the reactivity of limestone, while the aluminum oxide would rarely influence the reactivity.
