Chemical characteristics analysis of bioflocculant EBU-1

Abstract:
The chemical characteristics of bioflocculant EBU-1,which produced by a microorganism Pseudomonas alcaligenes,were studied.The results indicated that EBU-1 had good thermal stability;the colour reactation showed that EBU-1 was mainly composed by polyose.Polyose and nucleic acid were the main components of bioflocculant EBU-1,and they were 82.3% and 8.6%,respectively.The Zeta charge experiment showed that EBU-1 was a negative ion bioflocculant.
