Study on velocity field in hydrocyclone model by PDPA measurement
水力旋流器速度场的PDPA测试研究

The flow field in liquid-liquid hydrocyclone model was measured with phase Doppler particle analyzer(PDPA),and the characteristics of the internal velocity field in hydrocyclone were analyzed.Through the changes of flow rate,the model on the different cross-section distribution of the velocity field Was tesed.The testing result shows that an increase in feed flow rate can improve the tangential and axial velocity.When the inlet flow is lager,it's in favor of liquid-liquid separation.Continuous phase and disperse phase velocity distribution shows the same trend.Velocities of the two phase have great slippage in tube core.The test also provides a new way for hydrocyclone's optimization design.
