Killing bacteria of recycling-water with in-situ electrochemical method
|
Abstract:
Influencing factors on sterilizing effect of recirculating cooling water for power plants, such as current density, residence time, resting time, electrode interval, thining ratio, were researched under galvanostatic model and using metallic oxide coatings as anode and stainless steel as cathode. The experimental results showed that electrochemical sterilization was effective for recirculating cooling water of power plants, and the sterilizing effect of the recirculating cooling water was strongly affected by current density, residence time, electrode interval, thining ratio; sterilizing efficiency of the recirculating cooling water was 97% under the experimental conditions: current density 120 A/m2, residence time 10 s, electrode interval 1.8 cm.The total number of heterotrophic bacteria for recirculating cooling water treated by electrochemical method was inhibited under certain experimental conditions and in in a certain period of resting time.
