Research advances in arsenic removal from drinking water

Arsenic poisoning has become one of the major environmental worries in the world as millions of human beings have been exposed to excessive arsenic through contaminated drinking water. The techniques of arsenic removal from drinking water are introduced and their disadvantages are pointed out. It is put forward the idea that coagulation/microfiltration process should be the development trend for arsenic removal from drinking water in China due to its advantages of high arsenic removal efficiency, low energy consumption and simple operation.
