Study on removal of Pb2+ in aqueous solution by zeolite 4A
|
Abstract:
Under static state, the Pb~(2+) in aqueous solution adsorption on zeolite 4A was studied. The results showed that the removal rate of Pb~(2+) in aqueous solution was up to 99% after 20 min at 30℃ when a 5 ~6 pH 10 mL aqueous solution of Pb~(2+) (100 mg/L) was adsorbed by 0. 01 g zeolite 4A. The isothermal adsorption of zeolite 4A for Pb~(2+) fit Langmuir equation and Freundlich equation under the condition of experimental concentration. The correlation coefficient was 0. 9819 and 0. 9998. The maximum adsorption capacity of zeolite 4A toward Pb~(2+) was 125 mg/g by calculation. It took a short period of time to reach the adsorption equilibrium. The pH value had no prominent effect on the removal rate of Pb~(2+). The removal rate of Pb~(2+) was increased less as temperature increased in the specified scope. It was able to regenerate zeolite 4A and recover Pb~(2+).
