Treatment of wine distillery wastewater by bentonite adsorption with microwave catalytic oxidation
|
Abstract:
Microwave catalytic oxidation combined with bentonite absorption was studied for treating wine distillery wastewater. The effects of microwave power, irradiation time, pH, H2O2 and bentonite dosage on the degradation were examined. The best treatment conditions were microwave power 720 W, irradiation time 25 min, pH 3.5, H2O2 dosage 2.1 mL and bentonite dosage 2.6 g. Under these conditions, the degradation rates of COD was up to 80%. The results showed that the microwave catalytic oxidation process coupled with bentonite absorption was a rapid and effective method for treating wine distillery wastewater.
