Treatment of 2-naphthol wastewater by FOP-EGSB-MBR combined processes
|
Abstract:
According to the characteristics of 2-naphthol wastewater, such as high COD concentration, low BOD/COD and biological toxicity, the treatment of a simulated 2-naphthol wastewater was studied by a process combined with Fenton oxidation, EGSB and MBR. The results showed that the ratio of BOD/COD increased from 0.01 to 0.67 after Fenton oxidation; and the ultimate COD value in the effluent after EGSB and MBR treatment was below 100 mg/L. The total COD removal rate reached 99% by the combined processes.
