Research on the effect of separation reagent concentration and reaction temperature on Al-PE wet separation technics

Abstract:
The recovering of paper the major component of the aseptic composite packaging wastes was conducted through a hydrapulpter apparatus. The wet separation conditions of the remaining part(Al-PE), a laminated sheet composed of LDPE and aluminum foil, were studied in this paper. Methanoic acid was selected as the separation reagent to make the Al-PE fall apart, and the major reaction mechanisms were analyzed. The principal process influencing factors of the wet separation technics, such as the separation reagent concentration, reaction temperature, and liquid to solid ratio were studied.
