An Easy Method for Judging PN Junction Performance Qualitatively from I-V Curve Shape
根据IV曲线形态定性判断PN结性能的一种简易方法

The semilogarithmic current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of a PN junction sample can be presented with the powerful plotting functions in MATLAB.The performance of a PN junction can be judged qualitatively from its I-V curve shape.The more linear segments to be used to approximate the I-V curve,the further the actual characteristics are away from the ideal ones.The method is not only suitable for homojunctions,but also for heterojunctions and Schottky barrier diodes.
